EOSIOPHIL AND BASOPHIL REACTIONS
Autistic children appear to have an increased eosinophil and basophil response to IgE-mediated reactions, which could explain the high prevalence of allergic disorders among autistic children. (Bidet et al, 1993; Renzoni et al, 1995)
The number of eosinophils in the blood decrease with T3 or T4 treatment (Steinsapir et al, 1982), clearly indicating thyroid hormone involvement.
