NEUROTROPIN

   Excesses and deficits in neuronal numbers have  been observed in autism (Margolis et al, 1994).

   Lindholm et al (1993) reported that expression of neurotrophin 3 is under control of thyroid hormones.

   Muller et al (1995) reported that thyroid hormone also promotes expression of the bcl-2 proto-oncogene.
